The Bengaluru Dooradarshana ‘chandana’ is coming up with ‘Koti Chennayya’ television serial that is produced by Katapady Ashok Muddu Suvarana in Chandrahasa Alva direction. In the role of Koti it is Rajasekharara Shetty Alike and as Channayya Rohit Kumar Katil an international sportsman. Inna Udaykumar Shetty is in the role of Kemara Ballala. Koti Chennayya is telecast on every Sunday at morning 9 am to 9.30 am. It is repeated on the same day in the night 11 pm .

In 1973 a film in Tulu and again 2007 a film was made in Tulu on epoch making personalities called as Karnik Purushas. Koti and Chennayya were born to the  Deye Baidethi of the Billava people of Tulu Nadu in the state of Karnataka. Owing to the brother’s heroic deeds, they are worshipped and remembered as protectors. They died in combat near Yenmoor. Memorial temples called garadi "gymnasiums" have been built in the name of Koti and Chennayya.

Praja Films is producing this mega television serial. The preliminary work has been completed for this big budget television serial.

The 2007 ‘Koti Channayya’ film in Tulu by director Anand P Raju bagged state award and best supporting award to actress Neethu. The film starred Balakrishna Shetty as Koti, Shekar Kotian as Chennaiah, Vinaya Prasad as Kinnidaru and Neethu as Deyi Baidithi in the lead.
